In 2003, Dr Reid received Fellowship recognition from the International Congress of Oral Implantology, ICOI. Dr Carl Misch, founder of the Misch International Implant Institute, recommended Don for the award and also presented it to him. Don joined by his wife, Marilyn enjoyed the post ceremony dinner dance held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
The ICOI, founded in 1972, is not only the world’s largest dental implant organization but is also the largest provider of continuing dental implant education. They have members in over 80 counties.

The requirements for fellowship recipients are completion of dental implant training in both surgical and prosthetic disciplines, recommendation by another ICOI member of Diplomate status and passing written exams in each discipline.
Dr Reid has completed all training offered by the Misch International Implant Institute in Beverly Hills, Michigan which includes surgical, prosthetic, advanced bone grafting, and soft tissue management. The Misch Institute, is recognized worldwide as a premier training program.

Dr Reid is one of only 4% of general dentists in the United States that perform both surgical placement and prosthetic restoration of dental implants.
